Kourion / Curium Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches located near Limassol (distance from the city is approximately 17 km).
The beach of Kourion is located in the Episkopi Bay.
Next to it is the Archaeological Park of Kourion, one of the most interesting historical monuments in Cyprus.
The beach
The coastline of the beach is quite long - about 1 km.
There are a fairly large pebbles on the beach sides:
Closer to the beach center you can also find a segment with grayish sand:
The sea is clean, transparent with amazing color.
Surrounding landscapes are very beautiful:
The beach has been awarded the EU blue flag for cleanliness and comfort.
Since the coast is quite shallow, the beach will be comfortable for a small children.

There is also a rescue tower open during the daytime (even in December).
You can rest and take a dinner in cafe, locate nearby.
It is more convenient to come by car, there is free parking available.
Sun loungers and umbrellas are available for rent during the season.
How to get to Kourion beach

The most convenient way to get to the beach is by car. Parking is free.
Public transport
The beach can also be reached by public transport.
These are buses 16B and 18.
Just a few things to keep in mind:
A road runs along the beach and there are bus stops:
But out of season (in December) there were no busses at this road at all (we watched for several hours). After a talk with the locals, we found out that buses go there only during the more active season, and in winter the final stop will be near the church of Agios Ermogenis, the name of the stop is "Agios Ermogenis 2". This stop on the map:
Walking distance from this stop to the center of the beach is about 20-25 minutes.
Buses run infrequently, be sure to check the schedule in advance.
