The Bank of Finland Museum

The Bank of Finland Museum is located in the very center of Helsinki, next to the National Bank of Finland.

Despite the fact that the Bank of Finland (fin. Suomen Pankki) was founded in 1811, the museum was opened relatively only in 2003.

The museum exposition shows the history of money from ancient times to the present day.

Museum gas many interactive exhibits.

There is a small cafe with souvenirs.

Ticket price and opening hours

The entrance is free.

Working hours:

  • Tue - Fri from 11:00 to 17:00
  • Sat - Sun from 11:00 to 16:00
  • The museum is closed on Mondays.

Note: Due to Covid-19, the museum is temporarily closed until the end of January 2021.
