How to get from/to Kutaisi Airport

Kutaisi Airport is a small international Georgian airport located 20 kilometers from the city of Kutaisi.

Let's consider the ways to get from / to this airport.

How to get to Kutaisi from the airport

Buses

Since March 28, 2024, a direct bus from the airport to the city of Kutaisi has finally appeared (previously, you could only get to Kutaisi by taxi).

The fare is 5 GEL. Cash payment is not possible, you must pay by credit card (Visa / Mastercard).

Boarding is through the front door, payment to the driver.

Schedule:

The bus runs every day 24 hours a day with intervals of 2 hours.

The bus leaves the airport at odd times - 9:00, 11:00, 13:00, etc. From Kutaisi, departures are at even times - 10:00, 12:00, etc.

In the city, buses depart from the stop at the address: Shota Rustaveli Avenue 9A (near the tourist information center).

Stop on the map:

It is easy to find a bus at the airport - when you exit the building, you will see a stop (there will be a sign on the bus that says Kutaisi International Airport).

Travel time is 30-50 minutes (depending on traffic).

There is another option - go to the road and catch minibus number 8, but we did not find its schedule, cost, or information on whether it runs at all. If you know anything about this, please write in the comments.

Taxi

There are private taxi drivers on duty at the entrance to the airport. It is more expensive than using taxi applications. There is free internet at the airport, so downloading the app and calling a taxi is easy. We tried the Bolt and Maksim apps, the price of the trip was about 25-30 GEL.

Kutaisi International Airport railway station located a few kilometers from the airport. We do not recommend walking – it is about half an hour by road, but if you need to leave by rail, then taking a taxi to this station is quite well.
