Barcelona's public transport consists of metro, buses, funiculars and trains.
Ticket fare depends on zone you want to travel. All Barcelona zones are shown in the image below:
All tickets must be validated. In the subway ticket validation takes place at the turnstile. For the rest of the transport, ticket must be inserted into the validator. Fine for traveling without a ticket or with an un-validated ticket is 100 € (50 €, if paid immediately).

Ticket types and prices in 2019:
Single ticket for 1 trip
Price: €2.20
Allows one ride on the subway, bus, tram or funicular. With this ticket interchanges are prohibited.
Т10 ticket
This is a travel card for 10 trips. It can be used by several people. This ticket is more profitable than single ride ticket.
With this ticket you can make interchanges between transport types within 75 minutes from the first validation (if ticket is valid for several zones, then for each zone this time increases by 15 minutes).

For trips in Barcelona, A T10 ticket for the first zone for 10.20 € is enough for trips inside Barcelona city.
This ticket is not valid for Aeroport T1 and Aeroport T2 metro stations on the L9 Sud line.
Т50/30 ticket
A ticket for 50 trips, valid for 30 days from the date of first use. Passengers have 75 minutes for one trip between the first and last validation (if it is necessary to change transport types).
Price: 43.50€
This ticket could be used to trips from/to airport.
Т70/30 ticket
A ticket for 70 trips, valid for 30 days from the date of first use. Passengers have 75 minutes (for 1 zone, another zones = +15min to each) for one trip between the first and last validation (if it is necessary to change transport types).

Ticket from / to el Prat airport
If you need to get to / from the airport (Aeroport T1 and Aeroport T2 stations), you need to purchase a special metro ticket, called "Airport ticket". Ticket is suitable for airport stations and the rest of the metro network, works only for metro (you can't use it for busses or other transport types).

1-day travel card T-dia
This ticket allows you to make an unlimited number of trips within 24 hours.
Ticket price includes one round trip (but not more) to the airport (Aeroport T1 and Aeroport T2 stations).
